More about Sue

Susan LewisSue has 19 years of journalism and publicrelations experience in the Connecticut market.  She came to Andrea Obston Marketing Communications after serving as public relations manager at Williams and House, a communications planning firm in Avon. There she handled media relations and marketing communications for clients in a variety of industries, including health care, graphic arts, publishing and financial services.

Prior to that, Sue was director of public relations and marketing at Saint Francis Hospital and Medical Center, where she oversaw all internal and external communications for the state’s third largest hospital, including web, print and video communications, advertising, and special events. Her role also included crises communications, as well as serving in a consulting capacity to affiliated organizations, including the Rehabilitation Hospital of Connecticut and the former Elmcrest Hospital.

She began her career as a newspaper reporter, working at both weekly and daily newspapers, including the Norwich Bulletin, a 38,000 circulation daily. Sue has also served on the board of the Connecticut Valley Chapter of the Public Relations Society of America for many years.

Sue has a B.A. from the University of Connecticut with a concentration in journalism. She has received numerous awards over the years, include The Public Relations Society of America’s Mercury Award, The Communicator Award and a CLIO award.
